SUI GENERIS

What I like about drawing is its immediacy and instinctual nature. In many ways a good painting often starts with a good drawing.
The following drawings were made over a period of several years with no particular objective or series in mind, but simply for my own pleasure.

Picture
MAN OVER ELEPHANT, charcoal on paper, 36 x 54 inches
Picture
FARM WORKER, pen-and-ink on blue gray paper mounted on board, 11 x 11 inches

Picture
SCHOOLMARM, pen-and-ink on stained paper mounted on board, 11 x 11 inches
Picture
UNTITLED, pen-and-ink on stained paper mounted on board, 10 x 10 inches
Picture
GHOST WOMAN, acrylic, gesso, ink and smoke on paper, 24 x 18 inches
